The following descriptions of the aura colours can give you a general insight into the interpretation of auras. Please be aware that colours, as well as shapes and combinations of colours, play an imminent role in aura interpretation. The right side shows the masculine active energy while the left side indicates the feminine passive energy. Also, please keep in mind that these colour interpretations do not apply to children.

RED: Red aura is a sign of fearless individuals who have a natural understanding of physicality and enjoy manifesting desires in the physical sense. They are passionate and unapologetic about experiencing dynamic and abundant adventures in life. They are generally unafraid of death, birth, overindulgence, or adrenaline inducing activities. WHITE: People with white auras are spiritually motivated and possess an openness and receptiveness to the divine, spiritual world. They are often unconcerned with worldly matters or ambition. Inner illumination and cosmic wisdom characterise the white energy. White reflects purity and truth, and is the rarest colour on the planet. The right side, picture left of the aura photo: Indicates one’s expressive active or masculine side, the personality one projects outward and how other people see us. The colour in this position is indicative of the persona or how we project ourselves to others. This part of the picture also represents the recent past. If there is no colour in this position or a hole, so to speak, this may indicate a loss of some sort, or a wish to let go of the past, perhaps a recent move, or a profound personal transformation. A hole may indicate a great and abrupt change of some sort.

The left side, picture right, of the aura photo: Indicates one’s feminine, receptive or feeling side, the part of the personality that receives, feels, accepts, and imagines. The colour in this position is also indicative of what one is creating for him/herself in the near future. If there is an abundance of colour here, the person may be focusing most of their attention in the future. If there is a lack of colour here, the person may be dwelling on past memories and events.

The centre of the aura photo, above the person’s head: Indicates what the person is experiencing in the present moment. If there is a band of colour stretching like an arc over the top of the photo, this indicates what the person’s hopes, goals and aspirations are. For example: an indigo or blue arc may indicate the person’s highest aspirations to be spiritual or artistic. A red arc would indicate more monetary or business goals.

The Throat Centre (self expression) The colour on the throat is traditionally the energy being expressed. The colour in this area is an expression of the throat chakra, the centre of communication. If a bright ball of colour appears here, you may feel a great need to talk and communicate. You may be opening up to your spirituality and wish to share your profound insights with others. You may feel a rush of artistic inspiration or the need to sing.

The Heart Centre (empathy) The colour in the heart centre expresses the energy in the heart chakra, the centre of unconditional love, empathy and compassion. If a bright ball of colour appears here you are indeed a humanitarian, and would save the world if you could. You may be a gifted spiritual energy worker, counselor, or teacher. From the heart centre we are able to see the good in everyone, and can let love energy flow from our hearts to nurture other beings.

Auras that expand out: indicate spiritual expansion, expressiveness, extroversion, social activity, and desire for connection, gregariousness, and positive outlook, sense of adventure.

Auras closer in: indicate inward focus, sensitivity, and desire for solitude, meditation, peace, tranquility, or rest. This could mean a need to express or to move out.
